Michaelina Petti is a Philly based, multidisciplinary musician and artist whose work seeks to bridge the internal and the universal. After having a near death experience at age 16, her writing echoes with the weight of being — inviting the listener to pause, feel, and witness the gift of experiencing anything at all.
She writes most of her music with her dad, Neal, musical confidant, lead guitarist and supporter. She is also accompanied by Gianni Petti (brother) on bass and Julia Baker on drums. Michaelina genre bends her music, taking inspiration from blues, rock, folk, jazz, alternative, and singer-songwriter.
Michaelina also creates sister projects to her music, working in acrylic, graphite, mixed media, and watercolor. She created the cover art for her music releases, including the singles Embrace(2025) and One of Those Things(2025), as well as her debut album Witherspoon Avenue (2025), where the visuals act as tangible extensions of her music.
Her work invites presence, a stepping outside of the self, and an invitation to meditate on the bigger picture—to remember that we are all part of something vast, beautiful, and alive.

The paintings feature continued narratives, the man in the boat is in reference to the lyric within the song, Embrace, “When I wake in a sea with you, you keep rowing on.” The man is then within the hourglass in the second painting - representing the fight between death and ourselves over time. The rose is also an easter egg to Michaelina’s near death experience and her newsletter, The Rose Garden. In the last painting, the reflection in her glasses is a reference to the song, 4D Lens, the last song on the album. The song ponders the possibility of reading time like a book, how we’d be able to see our lives played out, birth and death side by side. There are also continued themes within these covers, the songs on Witherspoon Avenue and to the upcoming album Authentic Intelligence.
